The North Cork Radio Group was formed in January 2010 by a small group of Amateur Radio enthusiasts and Shortwave Listeners. Membership of NCRG is open to all with a genuine interest in the groups goals and a current amateur licence is not required. Visitors to the groups events and meetings is strongly encouraged and co-community activities are welcomed.

The Group is affiliated to the (IRTS) Irish Radio Transmitters Society,

About Us
By promoting Amateur Radio and improving the facilities available to enthusiasts in our area, we hope to increase activity and welcome newcomers to the hobby.

We hope to provide a fresh approach, to rethink the ideals, to look at the hobby in general and make Amateur Radio more fun and appealing to the people of our community.

The goals of our group:

* It shall be our purpose to further the exchange of information and cooperation between members.
* Be progressive and endeavour to benefit and increase Amateur Radio awareness.
* Organise fun activities involving members and the community while demonstrating the values of Amateur Radio.
* Assist and support newcomers to join our hobby.
